Bright and sunny, this townhouse is the perfect choice if you are looking for a calm and peaceful holiday. The enclosed terrace at the back of the property looks over the gardens and pine trees, and the large shared pool, which is heated from May to September, is accessed through a cobbled path, with a shared built-in barbeque.

When you first enter Casa do Lago, you’ll be greeted to a wide entrance hall. On the left, you’ll find the master bedroom, styled in contemporary shades of apple green and crisp white, with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. On the opposite side of the hall is the second bedroom, set with two single beds and access to an ensuite bathroom with shower. The house has been designed with accessibility in mind, and this shower has a shower chair that makes it suitable for those with reduced mobility. The wardrobe also has a clever adaptation that enables it to bring down the top rail which makes it accessible for wheelchair users.

The large open plan living room, dining room and kitchen is bright and sunny with views over the garden and the forest. The living area and kitchen are displayed in an open floor plan, making the house feel spacious and bright. The dining area has built in seating, and the living room has a two seat sofa and two armchairs surrounding a woodburning fireplace and large flat screen TV. The contemporary-style kitchen is well equipped and fully fitted, with a separate utility room housing a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.

From the living room french doors, you’ll have access to the terrace, which has been enclosed in glass making it the perfect spot to enjoy the outside even on cooler days. For the summer months there is outside dining and sunloungers and a large expanse of lawn great for relaxing in the sun.

Throughout the living room, kitchen and dining area there is underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, so this apartment is an ideal choice for mid-season and winter holidays. Casa do Lago also has free WiFi and international cable television channels.

Set within landscaped gardens of pine trees, shrubs and lawns, Burgo D. Duarte is a small cluster of 16 townhouses situated at the entrance to the Praia d’el Rey Golf & Beach Resort. The Tennis Club is a couple of minutes walk away, and the Club House and first tee are around 10 minutes on foot. The sandy beach and the 5 star Mariott Hotel with spa, gym and restaurants is a 15 minute walk away, or 3 minutes by car.

The Resort is located close to the Óbidos lagoon, with calm waters, sports activities and a restaurant nearby. In Óbidos you can also find the medieval village and castle, with a neautiful panoramic view of the surrounding areas and nature, and with festivals and cultural events all year round.

Further away, at a 45 minute distance, you can also visit the fishermen village of Nazaré, also known worldwide for its giant 5 plus meter waves and surfing spots. You’ll find an amazing beach right in the city centre, lovely and typical architecture all along with the handicraft products and famous cuisine served is various restaurants. At a 15 to 20 minute drive away are the beautiful golden thin sand beaches in Baleal and Peniche, with clear waters famously known for their perfect waves for surfing. Peniche is also known for its quality fish and seafood, for its restaurants and for its handcrafted goods. From the city, there are boat rides to the Berlengas Natural Reserve, with astonishing landscapes, diversified fauna and flora, crystalline waters and charming natural nooks.
