The apartment has 4 balconies, three overlooking the pool area and golf course and the fourth one towards the entrance of the apartment.

As you enter the apartment, you will find the two bedrooms on the left. The master bedroom has a double bed and a small desk, ensuite bathroom with bathtub, and a nice balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The second bedroom has two beds, one double (140cm) and one single bed.

The living and dining room is nicely decorated, bright and spacious thanks to its open floor plan. The living room has two confortable sofas facing the TV and woodburner. Just behind it is the dining area, with a table for 6 people, in case you wish to invite some friends for a drink or meal.

Also open to the living and dining area, the kitchen is completely equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, expresso machine, kettle and toaster. From the kitchen, you can access aother very nice balcony with an outdoor dining space and a barbeque.

Burgo D. Afonso V is a small cluster of 23 apartments, with its own large shared pool (normally heated from May to September) and joined children’s pool. There are communal barbeques within the beautiful landscaped gardens, for the use of all apartment guests. There is parking in the front and back of the apartment buildings, and the shuttle bus stop is just outside which will take you around the resort free of charge.

The condominium is situated in the center of the Praia d’el Rey Golf & Beach Resort, just next to the golf course, and located at about 200 meters from the Club House and the first tee. The sandy beach and the 5 star Mariott Hotel with spa, gym and restaurants is a 10 minute walk away, or 2 minutes by car.

Villa Oliveira is called so because of the aged olive tree that sits in the corner of the large garden. With the sun all day and views over the countryside to the ocean in the distance, Villa Oliveira is the perfect choice for a more peaceful location but still in easy reach of Baleal and Peniche beaches.

There are not many properties in this area that can accommodate such a large group, so whether you are a large family or a group of friends you would be able to stay comfortably at Villa Oliveira. The large garden makes it a perfect space for relaxing, and there is an area for private off-road parking.

Entering the house brings you in to a bright entrance lobby filled with natural light from the skylight. The large open plan living and dining room has two comfortable sofas facing the TV and wood-burning stove, ideal for holidays in the Spring and Autumn. The dining area has space for 6 people. Two sets of french doors open out to the terrace and the large lawn area that wraps around the house.

The kitchen is well equipped with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, and toaster. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

On the ground floor are 2 double bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom and with french doors that open out to the terrace. The master bedroom is on the first floor with a dressing area and an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has french doors which open out to a large balcony with views over the golf course, taking in the spire of the Marriott Hotel and with the ocean in the distance. There is also a ‘secret’ terrace, well screened to ensure it is a real sun trap.

The property has access to the shared infinity pool of the condominium just beside it, Burgo D. Sancho II.

The garden and specifically the boundary with the golf course is left very natural. At the time of taking these photos the boundary hedging grasses had just been cut back ready for fresh growth but it is important to point out, especially if you have very young children, that the boundary is a chain link boundary line with planting on either side.

Entering the villa brings you into a large open plan living and dining area with views through 2 sets of french doors to the swimming pool beyond. Bright and attractively furnished in shades of cream and orange the living room is comfortably furnished with 2 soft leather sofas and a flat screen television. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need during your stay including washer / dryer and dishwasher. Also on the ground floor is one double bedroom with french doors which open out to the pool and garden. The bathroom has a bath and a walk in shower.

Upstairs a large balcony runs along the length of the villa looking down to the swimming pool and garden and is a great spot for relaxing in the sunshine. A large double bedroom furnished in shades of aqua opens out to the balcony through a large set of french doors. The bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower. The third bedroom with a double bed also opens out to the large balcony through french doors. The bedroom is attractively furnished in shades of chocolate and pale pink and the ensuite bathroom has a large walk-in shower.

The added bonus at Vila Branca is a second living room with 2 sofas, a second television and a table tennis table. The fourth bedroom is off the second living room and has 2 single beds. This bedroom also has an additional single bed which can be used if needed. There is also a bathroom with a shower next to this bedroom.

Outside there are sun loungers, and outside dining table and chairs and a built in barbecue. The pool can be heated on request at an additional charge per week. The pool is a good size with steps at one end that lead down to a shallow end before it descends to a deeper section. The pool is saltwater and not chlorine so Vila Branca is also a great choice for those that have sensitive skin or just don’t like the smell of chlorine!

Casa do Lago is a two bedroom groundfloor townhouse, decorated in a contemporary style, with beautiful lake and golf views

Bright and sunny, this townhouse is the perfect choice if you are looking for a calm and peaceful holiday. The enclosed terrace at the back of the property looks over the gardens and pine trees, and the large shared pool, which is heated from May to September, is accessed through a cobbled path, with a shared built-in barbeque.

When you first enter Casa do Lago, you’ll be greeted to a wide entrance hall. On the left, you’ll find the master bedroom, styled in contemporary shades of apple green and crisp white, with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. On the opposite side of the hall is the second bedroom, set with two single beds and access to an ensuite bathroom with shower. The house has been designed with accessibility in mind, and this shower has a shower chair that makes it suitable for those with reduced mobility. The wardrobe also has a clever adaptation that enables it to bring down the top rail which makes it accessible for wheelchair users.

The large open plan living room, dining room and kitchen is bright and sunny with views over the garden and the forest. The living area and kitchen are displayed in an open floor plan, making the house feel spacious and bright. The dining area has built in seating, and the living room has a two seat sofa and two armchairs surrounding a woodburning fireplace and large flat screen TV. The contemporary-style kitchen is well equipped and fully fitted, with a separate utility room housing a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.

From the living room french doors, you’ll have access to the terrace, which has been enclosed in glass making it the perfect spot to enjoy the outside even on cooler days. For the summer months there is outside dining and sunloungers and a large expanse of lawn great for relaxing in the sun.

Throughout the living room, kitchen and dining area there is underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, so this apartment is an ideal choice for mid-season and winter holidays. Casa do Lago also has free WiFi and international cable television channels.

Set within landscaped gardens of pine trees, shrubs and lawns, Burgo D. Duarte is a small cluster of 16 townhouses situated at the entrance to the Praia d’el Rey Golf & Beach Resort. The Tennis Club is a couple of minutes walk away, and the Club House and first tee are around 10 minutes on foot. The sandy beach and the 5 star Mariott Hotel with spa, gym and restaurants is a 15 minute walk away, or 3 minutes by car.
